Helen talks tourism and health on Ellesmere visit
North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan has met with the Mayor and Town Clerk for Ellesmere to discuss issues in the town including tourism, the state of health services, and bus links in the county.
Mobile phone networks and Helen’s recent ‘Rural Roaming’ Bill to improve signal in the countryside were also on the agenda, alongside recent calls for fairer funding for rural councils, the Ellesmere neighbourhood plan, and the lack of affordable housing in the town.
The MP is keen to take up the issues impacting Ellesmere residents and has put out a call asking them to get in touch with their priorities for the town.
Helen Morgan, MP for North Shropshire, said, “I am always eager to hear from local residents about what the issues are on their mind. It was very useful to meet with the Mayor and Town Clerk in Ellesmere to discuss the issues – health, tourism, buses, housing – but there is always more to do.
“Please feel free to get in touch with my office if you have any priorities of your own to share. Ellesmere is a beautiful town and it’s a real privilege to represent it in Parliament. I want to make sure our campaigns focus in on the issues that impact local people.”
