Helen Morgan has praised the ‘Christmas spirit and brilliant work’ of Wem Rotary and thanked them for their contribution to fighting rural isolation.
Helen Morgan, MP for North Shropshire, said, “This is the definition of Christmas spirit and the generosity is no surprise given the wonderful communities we have here in North Shropshire.
“Wem Rotary Club’s exceptionally kind offer on Christmas Day is a testament to the fantastic community spirit we have in our market towns, and to the hard work of their team of volunteers.
“Isolation is a big and unspoken problem in rural areas like North Shropshire, and that can feel most acute during the winter months. It is really lovely to see people in Wem looking out for each other this Christmas, and I can’t praise the team at Wem Rotary enough for their work.”
