Helen Morgan responds to landmark review for WASPI women

Responding to the report released yesterday by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, that recommended that the government should compensate women affected, Liberal Democrat MP for North Shropshire Helen Morgan said: "Compensation for WASPI women is long overdue."

“Thousands of courageous women have worked tirelessly to see justice done after being left out of pocket and deserve our admiration for their persistence.

“This includes many people I have met across North Shropshire who were caught in this trap. They have always had my full support, and I am very pleased that the injustice of their situation has now been officially recognised.

“It is now up to the Government to come forward with a plan to get these women the compensation they are owed.”
